BlueKai exceeds auto advertisers’ lead generation expectations by 1,250 percent.

Goal

Generate leads based on users who are in-market and considering competitive auto brands. Moreover, establish campaign pricing based on Cost Per Impression and generate leads at a target cost of $600 per lead.

Methodology

On behalf of an auto advertiser, Rocket Fuel began targeting 20 BlueKai in-market user segments that corresponded to purchase intent for advertiser's competitive brand of automobiles. Rocket Fuel further optimized for the best campaign results by determining which sites, time of day, and the day of week a banner was shown as well as location, size of the ad, and varying creative themes.

  • The BlueKai segment performed 1,250 percent better than what the advertiser expected, delivering a CPL of $48.03, which is only 8 percent of the targeted CPL of $600.
  • The best performing BlueKai segment was 278 percent more effective than the best performing pure-content partner, which generated a CPL of $133.31.
